County Squad training sessions have been organised to build up a team of recurve and compound archers (no juniors this season) that will compete in the 3-County tournament and the SCAS Intercounties Team Championships.

With only five GNAS-affiliated clubs and just over 200 archers, The County of Oxford is by far the smallest of the Southern Counties. We need Oxfordshire archers to build a squad to compete against the likes of Essex or Hampshire (30+ clubs & 1700+ archers each). Judging by last year's SCAS Intercounties results we can be competitive. A minimum recurve team (of volunteers) finished in third place. A bigger and stronger squad of recurve and compound archers would be a force to be reckoned with. The sessions commence on Thursday 12th March, and will be held every fortnight through to September. At the moment, the venue will be St. Peter's Field at Oxford RFC grounds (Oxford Archers outdoor venue) but other venues may be added in the future. Assemble 6:00pm for a 6:15 start.
